Miscarriage

Inspired by the Daily Post‘s Weekly Writing Challenge: Fifty.

 

“Trish?”

“I’ll be right out, Mom!”

She looked down, not knowing what to do. There was so much blood, more than she’d ever seen.

The cramps hit again, doubling her as blood pooled between her legs.

She grabbed another towel, sank to the floor and cried, “Momma, I need you…”
